These fair worthy homemade Mini Corn Dogs are so incredibly easy to make with just a little more than a handful of ingredients that you may already have on hand. I just love to make these tasty treats for the kids and their friends. For a complete meal serve with Baked Sweet Potato Fries, Honey Mustard Sauce, and Strawberry Lemonade.

Ingredients
- 1 pound hot dogs
- 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- vegetable oil for frying
How To Make mini corn dogs

Step 1Cut the hot dogs in half and dry them thoroughly. Thread the hot dogs on to a popsicle stick or lollipop stick.

Step 2Whisk together the corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the egg and buttermilk and stir to combine. Pour the batter into a measuring cup or glass for ease in dipping the dogs. Let the batter sit for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3Heat 2 1/2 – 3 inches oil in dutch oven or heavy skillet to 375 degrees. Dip each hotdog into the batter and turn to coat. Then carefully put it right in the hot oil. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. For best taste results serve promptly.
