Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 teaspoons dried onion
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 can ranch style beans, drained rotel tomatoes, chopped green chilies, fire roasted salsa style tomatoes
  • 1/8 cup self rising cornmeal mix

How To Make mexi-chili

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef and drain.
  • Step 2
    Add dried onion and seasonings, stir well.
  • Step 3
    Add all vegetables and tomatoes sauce. Simmer 20 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle sr cornmeal over meat and stir to thicken about 2 to 3 minutes. Turn burner off.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle 2 handfuls of Mexican blend shredded cheese and cover with lid to melt. Once cheese is melted serve.
  • Step 6
    Perfectly accompanied with cornbread or tortilla chips.
