marriage saving meatloaf

Every time I made meatloaf my husband hated it until I discovered this recipe. He used to say that my meatloaf was "grounds for divorce!"Now he LOVES IT and so do my chidren and grandchildren. I hope you love it as well. Serve with mashed potatoes and a nice salad. YUM

Ingredients
- 2 large eggs,beaten
- 3/4 cup milk, 1%
- 1/2 cup italian style bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 2 teaspoons snipped parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sage, ground
- 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 11/2 pounds ground beef
- GLAZE ALSO FOR USE AT THE TABLE
- 1/2 cup catsup
- 2-3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
How To Make marriage saving meatloaf

Step 1In bowl combine eggs and milk; stir in bread crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, sage and pepper. Mix until well incorporated. Add beef

Step 2Thoroughly mix meat and seasonings. Caution, do NOT overmix or it will cook up like a board.

Step 3Spoon meat mixture into ring mold ( 5 1/2 cup), or gently shape into loaf with hands.

Step 4Firmly pat meat into mold

Step 5Unfold mixture into a shallow roasting pan ( I use a castbiron skillet). Bake at 350°F oven for 50 minutes

Step 6Spoon off fat

Step 7Glaze with catsup mixture. Carefully spread over top of loaf. Cook 10 minutes longer.
