THIS IS A PERFECT CHILI FOR THE GUYS TO TAKE TO THEIR MAN CAVES.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb
    ground chuck
  • 1 lb
    ground pork
  • 4
    garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 8 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1 c
    water
  • 12 oz
    beer, not lite
  • 3 Tbsp
    good chili [powder
  • 6
    beef bouillon cubes
  • 2 Tbsp
    cumin
  • 2 tsp
    paprika
  • 2 tsp
    oregano
  • 2 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    coriander
  • 1 tsp
    unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 Tbsp
    hot sauce
  • 1 tsp
    cornmeal
  • 1 tsp
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    warm water

How to Make MAN CAVE CHILI

Step-by-Step

  1. BROWN THE MEATS IN A DUTCH OVEN. DRAIN, RESERVING 2 TBLS. PUT THE RESERVED 2 TBLS. BACK IN PAN.
  2. ADD THE GARLIC AND ONION AND COOK UNTIL TENDER.
  3. ADD THE OTHER HALF OF THE MEAT, TOMATO SAUCE, WATER, BEER, CHILI POWDER, BOUILLON, CUMIN, PAPRIKA, OREGANO, SUGAR, CORIANDER, COCOA, AND HOT SAUCE. MIX WELL.
  4. BRING TO A OIL, REDUCE HEAT TO A SIMMER. COVER AND SIMMER 2 HOURS.
  5. IN A SMALL BOWL MIX CORNMEAL AND FLOUR TOGETHER, ADD WARM WATER AND MIX WELL. STIR INTO CHILI AND SIMMER COVERED ANOTHER 20 MINUTES.
