Mama's Pot of Beans

Ingredients

2 lbdry beans (whatever you want to use)

1ham bone
-
1/4 cyellow mustard
-
1/4 cmolasses
-
1-2bay leaves
-
1 mediumonion finely diced
-
2-3carrots, sliced
-
2-3ribs of celery, sliced
How to Make Mama's Pot of Beans
- Any type of beans you prefer will work. I normally use pinto beans, but you could use navy beans or whatever.
Place beans in a large pot and cover with water. Soak the beans for about 12 hours, or overnight. Strain the water off the beans and sort to make sure there are not stones or other miscellaneous items. - Serve with your favorite bread, crackers or Southern Cornbread MMB.
This freezes well.
