I have adapted this recipe over the years. You can use any types of beans or tomatoes that you enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 - green pepper chopped
  • 2 cans chili magic
  • 2 cans chili beans, white or red or black
  • 1 large can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne or less to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt or less to taste

How To Make mama's chili

  • Step 1
    brown ground beef over low heat. crumble as it cooks.
  • Step 2
    add chopped onion, pepper, garlic if desired. salt these now.
  • Step 3
    Add canned ingredients. Stir and continue to cook over very low flame. Taste and add more salt or cayenne if necessary.
  • Step 4
    When ready to serve, add toppings as deired. cheese, croutons, sour cream, scallions, etc. Serve with hot rolls or bread.
