I have adapted this recipe over the years. You can use any types of beans or tomatoes that you enjoy.

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 1
    green pepper chopped
  • 2 can(s)
    chili magic
  • 2 can(s)
    chili beans, white or red or black
  • 1 large
    can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne or less to taste
  • 1 tsp
    salt or less to taste

How to Make Mama's chili


  1. brown ground beef over low heat. crumble as it cooks.
  2. add chopped onion, pepper, garlic if desired. salt these now.
  3. Add canned ingredients. Stir and continue to cook over very low flame. Taste and add more salt or cayenne if necessary.
  4. When ready to serve, add toppings as deired. cheese, croutons, sour cream, scallions, etc. Serve with hot rolls or bread.
