Ingredients
- 4 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1 stick margarine or butter
- 8 ounces can tomato soup
- - louisiana red hot, salt and pepper to taste
- - cooked long grain rice
How To Make louisiana shrimp etouffee

Step 1Saute shrimp, the "Louisiana trinity" (onion, bell pepper and celery) in margarine.

Step 2Add tomato soup and simmer about 30 to 40 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and Louisiana red hot sauce.

Step 3Serve over rice with Louisiana red hot sauce on the side in case additional is desired.
