Ingredients For louisiana shrimp etouffee

  • 4 lb
    shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 stick
    margarine or butter
  • 8 oz
    can tomato soup
  • louisiana red hot, salt and pepper to taste
  • cooked long grain rice

How To Make louisiana shrimp etouffee

  • 1
    Saute shrimp, the "Louisiana trinity" (onion, bell pepper and celery) in margarine.

    Add tomato soup and simmer about 30 to 40 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and Louisiana red hot sauce.

    Serve over rice with Louisiana red hot sauce on the side in case additional is desired.
