My mom made these when I was growing up......LOVE THEM!!!! And now I make them.....they freeze well too!

Ingredients
- 1 package (16 oz.) of lentils
- - water, cold...enough to cover lentils
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
- - oil for frying
How To Make lentil burgers

Step 1Sort & rinse lentils. Put in large pot, cover with water. Cook over medium-high heat, boil with lid on until water is absorbed. Lentils will be soft & plump.

Step 2Put lentils in big bowl, let cool for 5-10 minutes, then add rest of ingredients, minus oil. Mix well with hands.

Step 3Heat large frying pan with oil. Take lentil mixture in hand and form into burger shape, put in pan & fry up about 4-5 minutes per side. You will see them start to darken up. When done put on plate lined with paper towel. Serve on your favorite bun & toppings.

Step 4If you would like to freeze them, just stack them in a ziplock bag or your favorite container, but put a piece of wax paper between each burger. ENJOY!
