left over green bean casserole

I saw this on the Food Network and added my own twist to it by adding cheese before placing under the broiler. This makes two pretty big servings and you can cut them into four for smaller portions. They make a meal in itself that I serve with a green salad. Nice light fare after a heavy holiday meal. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 2 cups left over green bean casserole
- 2 - fresh portabello mushrooms stems removed
- 2 tablespoons italian salad dressing (i use fat free to keep it a little more healthy
- 1/2 cup french fried onions
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese, i like sharp for extra tang
How To Make left over green bean casserole

Step 1Marinate Portabello Mushrooms in Italian Salad Dressing, refrigerate for about one hour.

Step 2After an hour, add one cup left over green bean casserole to each marinated mushroom.

Step 3Top with Cheese

Step 4Place under broiler for 5 or 10 minutes until cheese is melted

Step 5Remove from broiler and top with French Fried Onions.
