I got this recipe from a good friend at camp.She has passed now but her recipe lives on! A favorite of my daughter-in-law's.

2 lb
kielbossy or smoked sausage cut in coins
7-8 large
potatoes pealed and sliced
1 large
onion, diced
1/2 large
green pepper, diced
3 Tbsp
sweet pickle relish
olive oil to coat pan

How to Make Kielbossy and Potatoes


  • 1You can do this in a large frying pan or in a casserole dish in the oven...350* for about 1 hr. I have also cooked this on the grill on an inverted pan in a foil pan with the grill lid closed! Medium heat though!!
  • 2Add all ingredients EXCEPT pickle relish. Fry or Bake or Grill stirring a couple of times so the meat and potatoes crunch up.
  • 3Just before serving add the pickle relish and warm. If you cook this with the relish, the sugar will burn everything!! Good with a hearty bread and butter to sop up the juices!
