This was a happy accident dinner! Was down to a frozen Kielbasa sausage, a few potatoes and an onion.. sounded like a plan!! That night, this was the whole dinner but, add a side salad and it's perfect!

How to Make Kielbasa Skillet

Step-by-Step

  1. I slice the kielbasa down the center then, cut the halves into 1 inch pieces. Peel the potatoes and cut into medium thickness slices. Cut the large onion into quarters then, halve the quarters. Place it all together into a large, heavy skillet with the melted butter. Let cook over med/low heat, covered for about 45 minutes. Stir occasionally to make sure it doesn't stick to pan. The brown bits are really flavorful, though!!
  2. You can speed this up a bit by slicing the potatoes a little thinner.. i just like my potatoes chunky!
