This was a happy accident dinner! Was down to a frozen Kielbasa sausage, a few potatoes and an onion.. sounded like a plan!! That night, this was the whole dinner but, add a side salad and it's perfect!

prep time 10 Min
cook time 45 Min
method ---
yield 4-6 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 16 ounces kielbasa sausage
  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 large yellow onion

How To Make kielbasa skillet

  • Step 1
I slice the kielbasa down the center then, cut the halves into 1 inch pieces. Peel the potatoes and cut into medium thickness slices. Cut the large onion into quarters then, halve the quarters. Place it all together into a large, heavy skillet with the melted butter. Let cook over med/low heat, covered for about 45 minutes. Stir occasionally to make sure it doesn't stick to pan. The brown bits are really flavorful, though!!
  • Step 2
You can speed this up a bit by slicing the potatoes a little thinner.. i just like my potatoes chunky!
