My 12 year old son Justin has a definite love for food. He took a regular reuben and turned it into something a little different. It's actually pretty good. Let me know what you think.

prep time 15 Min
cook time 10 Min
method ---
yield 4 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread (rye if you have it, but your favorite will work)
  • 4 slices swiss cheese
  • 4 slices mild cheddar cheese
  • 1 jar bacon bits
  • 2 packages buddig pastrami
  • 2 packages buddig corned beef
  • 1 can sauerkraut
  • 1 bottle thousand island dressing
  • 2 tablespoons butter

How To Make justin's ultimate reuben sandwich

  • Step 1
Place a slice of swiss on 1 slice of bread, and cheddar on another slice.
  • Step 2
Place some pastrami on top of the swiss, and place some corned beef on top of the cheddar. Spread dressing on top of both.
  • Step 3
Put some of the sauerkraut and bacon bits on top of one of them and top with the other half of sandwich.
  • Step 4
Spread a little butter on the outsides of the sandwich and place in a heated skillet, flipping once, until cheese is melted & bread is toasted to desired doneness. Repeat steps for the other three sanwiches. Enjoy.
