My husband thinks I was a crab in a previously life. I love eating crabs and always experimenting with new recipes. When I eat crab cakes I want to taste the crab, not filler. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound jumbo lump crab
  • 1 - egg
  • 2 - slices of bread
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • - salt and pepper
  • - cooking oil

How To Make the ultimate jumbo lump crab cake

  • Step 1
Remove the crust from the bread. (I use potato bread) Beat egg. Add parsely flakes, mustard, mayo, worcestershire sauce, salt & pepper to taste. Pull bread apart in tiny pieces. Mix bread into wet mixture. Set aside.
  • Step 2
Squeeze water out of crab meat. Add a little cooking oil to frying pan Heat oil. Fold crab into wet mixture. Be gentle not to break the lump crab. Make into patties and add to heated oil.
  • Step 3
Fry on med heat until lightly brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels. Then you're ready for the best crab cake ever.
