This sounds more like a corn dog to me, but this is what Ma called it, and there are some ingredients I didn't expect...like chili powder! LOL

1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup yellow corn meatl
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup (scant) milk
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 package hot dogs

How To Make hot dogs in batter, ma

Step 1

Combine flour, powder, sugar, chili powder and salt and sift. Add corn meal. Mix milk, egg and mustard. Then mix dry and liquid together well. Dip 1 pkg hot dogs in batter. Fry 3-4 min in 375 degree deep fat.
