Made these for my husband and myself the other night and they were to DIE for! Much better than the so called Real Philly cheesesteaks in Philadelphia.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons vegatable oil
  • 1 large yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 TO 3/4 pounds deli roast beef
  • 4 - soft sub or hoagie rolls
  • 1 - 8oz jar cheeze whiz
  • 1 large red or green bell pepper thinly sliced

How To Make home style philly cheesesteaks

  • Step 1
    IN A LARGE SKILLET, HEAT 2 tABLESPOONS OF THE OIL OVER MEDIUM HEAT AND COOK THE ONIONS AND PEPPERS UNTILL THEY ARE TENDER AND GOLDEN BROWN ABOUT 8 TO 10 MINUTES.
  • Step 2
    wHILR THE VEGGIES COOK. HEAT THE CHEEZEWIZ IN A BOWL IN THE MICROWAVE JUST UNTILL WARM 2 TO 3 MINUTES. sTIR AND SET ASIDE.
  • Step 3
    rEMOVE VEGGIES TO A DISH AND ADD THE EXTRA TABLESPOON OF OIL TO THE PAN. iNCREASE YOUR HEAT TO MED.HIGH AND SEAR THE BEEF QUICKLY UNTILL LIGHTLY BROWNED TURNING AND FLIPPING IT FREQUENTLY WITH A SPATULA.
  • Step 4
    DIVIDE THE MEAT AMONG THE ROLLS. HEAP ON THE ONIONS AND PEPPERS AND SPOON ON CHEEZEWIZ ONTO EACH SANWICH, ENJOY!
