Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh beans
- 1 cup fresh carrots, chunked
- 2 cups new potatoes
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 1/2 cup cereal cream
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 cup water or chicken broth
How To Make hodge podge

Step 1Cover beans and carrots with salted water in a pot, bring to a boil for 30 minutes. Add potatoes, and cook for another 30 minutes.

Step 2Stir in butter and cream.

Step 3Whisk flour and 1/2 cup water or chicken stock. Pour over vegetables.

Step 4Cook for 5 minutes to thicken sauce.

Step 5Remove from stovetop and serve hot.

Step 6Variations: Chunk turnip can be added when beans and carrots are added. Fresh peas can be added when potatoes are added.
