For some reason I am craving green bean casserole, when a sandwich using green beans and ham were the ingredients for a sandwich contest in the group the week ending 8/5/11. Then I thought about scalloped potatoes and cheese.. So here goes my entry, try it and let me know if you were satisfied!

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound green beans steamed or microwaved
- 6 small yukon gold potatoes, sliced and cooked
- 1 pound baking ham, cooked and chopped
- 1 can cream of chicken/or celery soup
- 1 package grated cheddar cheese, 1 cup
- 1/2 cup milk, heated
- 8 slices rye bread, with or without seeds
- PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 350 DEGREES.
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
How To Make ham-green-beans-cassandwich

Step 1In a round casserole,sprayed with Pam, layer ham, potatoes, green beans.

Step 2In a bowl mix cream of chicken or celery soup with milk, and blend in the grated cheese, and add the dry mustard.

Step 3Pour the mixture from the bowl onto the casserole ingredients. Bake for about 30 minutes, until soft and lightly browned on top.

Step 4Edit this part: Using a Panini Pan, place the sandwich in the pan and cook until browned. OR-Toast the rye bread if desired, spoon about a cup of casserole onto each of four slices of toast, and for crunch add French's Onion Rings, and a top layer of toast. Cut and serve with dill pickle!.
