My family loves this dish. I got it from a old and dear friend.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups ham pieces
  • 2 cups shreded cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

How To Make ham and scalloped potatoes

  • Step 1
    Boil potatos slowly 10 minutes in small amount of water.
  • Step 2
    Saute chopped onion in butter. Stir in flour add salt. Let cook for a few minutes. Add 1 1/2 cups milk, bring to a simmer, stirring in 1 cup of the shreded cheese. Add ham pieces.
  • Step 3
    Pour all into undrained potatoes. Mix lightly. Pour into shallow baking dish. Sprinkle top with cheese. Bake 30 to 45 minutes in 350 degree oven.
