Ground Beef and Broccoli

Carolyn Haas

I like to order Broccoli Beef at Asian restaurants and came up with this to use up some ground sirloin and broccoli. Little different texture than the restaurant kind, but the taste is similar. Serve with brown or white rice.

How to Make Ground Beef and Broccoli

  1. Mix together first 10 ingredients, stir to dissolve cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Spray wok or large skillet. Brown ground beef, breaking apart until no pink is visible, about 5 minutes. Add broccoli florets, stir fry for about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add liquid to beef mixture, stir until boiling, turn down heat and stir until sauce thickens. Turn off heat, sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds to serve. Serve with extra Sriracha sauce for those who like the heat!
