Mamma always said, "there ain't nuttin' like mutton". She really didn't say that but this recipe will make you want to slap her. OK, you will not really want to slap her but these chops are really tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • - salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 - 4-5 ounce porterhouse lamb chops
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

How To Make grilled lamb chops with mustard bbq sauce

  • Step 1
    Whisk together mustard, vinegar, ketchup, molasses, honey, maple syrup and rice wine vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Cover and let stand at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to marry.
  • Step 2
    Preheat grill on high heat
  • Step 3
    Brush lamb chops with canola oil and seaon both sides with salt and pepper
  • Step 4
    Grill one side of lamb chops until golden brown and slightly charred and brush with sauce
  • Step 5
    Turn chops and grill to medium doneness, brushing with sauce
  • Step 6
    Remove chops to serving platter, brush with more sauce and let rest for 5 minutes before serving
