This is 1 of my many favorite recipes.

NOTE: This is 1 of my husband's favorite recipes because it like to have his own individual cornish hen.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 2
    green onions, finely chopped
  • 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper, divided
  • 4
    (20 ounces each) cornish game hens

How to Make Grilled Cornish Game Hens

Step-by-Step

  1. Coat grill rack with non-stick cooking spray before staring grill.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the butter, onions, garlic, 1/2 teaspoons salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  3. Rub mixture under the skin and over the top of each hen.
  4. Sprinkle remaining salt and black pepper inside the hen cavities.
  5. Grill hens uncovered with the breasts side up over medium heat for 25 minutes.
  6. The turn breasts side down.
  7. Cover and grill for 25-35 minutes longer or until a meat thermometer reads 180 degrees and the meat juices run clear.
