greek marinated lamb chops

This was given to me by a greek friend in Pittsburgh. It has such a fresh flavor, sure to please everyone in your family!

Ingredients

  • 8 - round bone leg or shoulder lamb chops
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 - zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon oregano, dried
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

How To Make greek marinated lamb chops

  • Step 1
    Crush garlic or chop very fine and mix with the other marinade ingredients. Put into a 1-gallon plastic zip bag and marinate for 6 hours or overnight.
  • Step 2
    Pat the chops dry and place onto a broiling rack about 4 inches from the flame. Cook 4 to 6 minutes on each side. Serve immediately with additional lemon.
  • Step 3
    **Can also be grilled. Get the fire nice and hot and space chops on the grill so they have a chance to sear on each side.
