German Kielbasa and Kraut
·kielbasa-one and a half 12 oz pkgs all beef, saurkraut 1 pd. and 8 oz. drain,onions ( 2 small to med. coarse chop)
·half tsp. pepper,half tsp. dry oregano, 1tsp. caraway seeds, butter 2 tlbsp. and one stick, water 3 cups
·mushrooms 8 oz. ( coarse chop),egg noodles 4 cups uncooked
How to Make German Kielbasa and Kraut
- drain kraut if liquid in it, put in pot or slow cooker, add caraway seeds, oregano, pepper. As this is heating sauté onions in two tlbsp. of butter till light brown, add to the pot with stick of butter , sliced kielbasa,water....heat. Cook egg noodles in separate pot till aldente and drain. Put noodles aside.When pot comes to a simmer cook till well blended and heated about an hour then stir in egg noodles and serve.
