My whole family LOVES this easy recipe. Can use bones in ribs, porkchops, chicken pieces or chicken breasts. I prefer the meatier country ribs, boneless or bone-in. Found it in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette years ago. No person listed. In that recipe it was called "Door Slammer Chicken" & cooked in the oven on 375 for 1 1/2 hours.

prep time 10 Min

yield 4 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb - country ribs
  • 1 bottle russian dressing
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 1 jar apricot preserves

How To Make door slammer ribs.

  • Step 1
Mix russian dressing, dry soup mix, & apricot preserves together in slow cooker. Will be thick & gooey.
  • Step 2
Slide meat(ribs, chicken, pork chops etc) into goo to completely submerge the pieces. Country ribs are the best! Cover & cook on LOW for 8 or HIGH for 4
  • Step 3
Serve with mashed potatoes or mac & cheese & a veggie. If you want to you can add the "juice" to the mashed potatoes. (like gravy) YUMMY!
