Ingredients
- 7 small red potatoes, un-peeled, rinsed with water and quartered
- 1 (24-oz.) jar german style sauerkraut, undrained
- additional 8-ounces of german style sauerkraut, including some of the juice, from another (24-ounce jar of sauerkraut).
- 2-(12-oz.) packages hillshire farm beef smoked sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of mccormick caraway seed
- 2 bay leaves

Step 1Place the sauerkraut (along with the juice from one 24-ounce jar of sauerkraut), in a large crock-pot.

Step 2Also add "half of the juice and 8-ounces of sauerkraut" from another (24-oz.) jar of German Style Sauerkraut jar, to the crock-pot as well.

Step 3Now add the smoked sausage, coarse ground black pepper, and caraway seed; stir to combine.

Step 4Place the slices of sausage on top; stir to combine; then place the bay leaves on top.

Step 5Cover, and cook 4 hours on "High". (Remove bay leaves before serving.)

Step 6Yields 8 serving.
