Ingredients
- 1-2 pound venison round steaks
- 4-5 tablespoons oil ( i use a mix of olive and canola)
- 2-3 - celery stalks, cut in 1 inch pieces
- 2-3 - onions, yellow, medium sliced
- 2-3 cloves sliced garlic (to taste)
- 1 - green bell pepper (or red) sliced
- 1/2 pound sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 3/4 cup wine (any dry that you would drink)
- - fresh grated orange zest
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make crock pot venison steaks

Step 1Rinse steaks well. Trim and cut into pieces. Heat oil and slightly saute steaks.

Step 2Place steaks, celery, garlic, and onions to crock pot. Mix water with vingar to make about 1 cup liquid. Pour over meat and vegetables. Cook on low about 4 hours.

Step 3Mix water and wine and add to pot, along with peppers and mushrooms. Grate some orange zest (about 2-3 tablespoons)into pot. Stir slightly. Cook about another hour or two, until meat is tender and falls apart.

Step 4Serve with rice, noodles, or just crusty bread and a salad.
