How To Make crab cakes
-
Step 1Spread crabmeat out on a cookie sheet.
-
Step 2Sprinkle top with crushed saltine crackers.
-
Step 3In a small bowl: mix mayo, egg, mustards, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning & Tabasco together. Mixing well. Pour mixture over crabmeat/crackers. Sprinkle green onions over top.
-
Step 4Using hands...Gently mix together. Let stand for 5 minutes.
-
Step 5Form mixture into 6 crab cakes. Do not pack the batter too firmly. Crab cakes need to be loose, yet hold their shape.
-
Step 6Heat enough oil in skillet {I used electric skillet}to cover crab cakes half way.
-
Step 7Deep fry 3 at a time. Fry until golden brown. {3 minutes per side}
-
Step 8Drain on a paper towel lined pan.
