I created this for my husband as he loves his baked beans. My Aunt Freida is the best baked bean maker I Know. So I took her recipe and added all my husbands' favorites in addition and came up with this Awesome baked bean recipe.

breakfast sausage
1 lb
ground chuck
1/2 c
1/2 c
dry onion soup mix envelopes
1 c
brown sugar
1 large
onion diced fine
1/4 c
dark molasses

How to Make Cowboy Chuckwagon Chow


  • 1Preheat oven to 400^.In a large roasting pan, Pour beans into roasting pan.
  • 2In a large skillet fry 1 pound of bacon. drain on paper towels and set aside to cool.
    In the same skillet fry sausage, chopped onions and ground chuck, until no longer pink. Drain off fat.
  • 3Put bacon,sausage meat mixture into a food processor and chop till fine.
  • 4Add meat and all ingredients to the beans. mix well. Top beans with remaining pound of raw bacon. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • 5* I use Bush's Baked beans with their variety of flavors. one of each put extra mmmmmm in the beans.
