I created this for my husband as he loves his baked beans. My Aunt Freida is the best baked bean maker I Know. So I took her recipe and added all my husbands' favorites in addition and came up with this Awesome baked bean recipe.

Ingredients

  • 6 cans bush's baked beans,
  • 1 can ro-tel tomatoes
  • 2 pounds bacon
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup mustard
  • 2 - dry onion soup mix envelopes
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large onion diced fine
  • 1/4 cup dark molasses

How To Make cowboy chuckwagon chow

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400^.In a large roasting pan, Pour beans into roasting pan.
  • Step 2
    In a large skillet fry 1 pound of bacon. drain on paper towels and set aside to cool. In the same skillet fry sausage, chopped onions and ground chuck, until no longer pink. Drain off fat.
  • Step 3
    Put bacon,sausage meat mixture into a food processor and chop till fine.
  • Step 4
    Add meat and all ingredients to the beans. mix well. Top beans with remaining pound of raw bacon. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Step 5
    * I use Bush's Baked beans with their variety of flavors. one of each flavor..to put extra mmmmmm in the beans.
