1 tablespoon soy sauce is a little so season to taste with it. There is no salt added to this recipe it all comes from the sauce sauce. I usually just add at the end and keep tasting it until it's how I like it.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 c
    cooked quinoa
  • 1 small
    onion, chopped
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2
    carrots peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 c
    frozen peas
  • 2 can(s)
    sliced water chestnuts
  • 3
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 c
    cooked shredded chicken

How to Make Chinese Fried Quinoa

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat canola oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is translucent.
  2. Add carrots and peas. Cook for 2 minutes or until tender. Move to side of pan.
  3. Add egg. Fry, cutting into small pieces. Mix all together.
  4. Add quinoa and cooked chicken. Stir.
  5. Add soy sauce. Stir. Heat through.
