  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1
    med.onion, chopped
  • 1 c
    diced celery
  • 1/2 c
    raw rice
  • 2 c
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • dash(es)
    of pepper
  • ·
    chow mein noodles

How to Make Chinese-American Casserole


  1. Saute onion and ground beef til meat no longer pink.Drain
  2. Add soups, celery, rice, water, soy sauce and pepper.stir together
  3. Pour into greased, deep casserole dish and cover.Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.Remove from oven
  4. Stir, then serve over Chow mein noodles (or it can be served over steamed rice for those not caring for chow mein noodles)

    Approx. 6 servings
