this is one of those recipes- from years ago- that my family enjoyed from toddler to adulthood-and now request often.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 - med.onion, chopped
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup raw rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- dash of pepper
- - chow mein noodles
How To Make chinese-american casserole

Step 1Saute onion and ground beef til meat no longer pink.Drain

Step 2Add soups, celery, rice, water, soy sauce and pepper.stir together

Step 3Pour into greased, deep casserole dish and cover.Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.Remove from oven

Step 4Stir, then serve over Chow mein noodles (or it can be served over steamed rice for those not caring for chow mein noodles) Approx. 6 servings
