this is a great make ahead and freeze meal for later on in the week or whenever you want to serve it

1 lb
ground beef
yellow onion, chopped
1 Tbsp
garlic salt
1 Tbsp
brown sugar, lightly packed
2 can(s)
(14 oz each) diced tomatoes, not drained
1 can(s)
(15 oz) tomato sauce
1 Tbsp
chili powder
1 tsp
ground cumin
1/4 tsp
crushed red papper
1 can(s)
(15 oz) pinto beans, drained
1 can(s)
(15 oz) red kidney beans, drained

How to Make Chili (freezer meal)


  • 1In a large saucepan, brown beef and onion and add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer on low 15 minutes.
  • 2Cool completely in refrigerator . Place in freezer bags and label. Freeze up to 3 months.
  • 3To serve, allow to thaw at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • 4Place chili in saucepan with 1/4 cup water and cook on medium until heated through, stirring occasionally.
