Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium jalapeno, seeded and chopped
- 1 tablespoon grated, ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Garam Marsala
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon Madars curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 cans fire-roasted tomatoes (15 oz each)
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed (15 oz)
- 1 cup coconut cream
- 0 - salt and pepper, to taste
- 0 - fresh cilantro, for garnish
How To Make chickpea tikki masala

Step 1In a large pot, add the oil. Add the onions and jalapenos and cook 5 minutes. Add the ginger and garlic and cook 2 more minutes. Stir in the seasonings. and tomato paste. Cook 1 minute.

Step 2Place the tomatoes in a food processor and blitz for 1 minute. Add them to the pot with the vegetable broth. Bring to a low boil and reduce the heat, and cook 10 minutes.

Step 3Add the chickpeas and coconut cream. Cook 5 more minutes. Taste and adjust for salt and pepper.

Step 4Serve over rice or by itself. Garnish with cilantro.
