This was something my mom made with shredded pork growing up. I felt chicken would give it better flavor. I also like this cause I can add more chicken and add more spice to taste I am also gluten free and using gluten free soy sauce didn’t change the flavor and it’s a no mess up recipe anyone can do it and you could add rice or cook it on the side if you have a bunch of people to feed

Ingredients

  • 1 bag cabbage, shredded
  • 1 bunch chinese cabbage or bok choy, sliced
  • 1 bag bean sprouts, fresh
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 cups cooked boneless chicken breast
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 dash sesame oil
  • 4 dashes garlic powder
  • 4 dashes ginger powder
  • 1 can water chestnuts
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 4 - celery ribs

How To Make chicken chow mein

  • Step 1
    Add all your cabbage and half sesame oil in big pot let it cook down for 5 to 7 mins on medium heat
  • Step 2
    Shred your cooked chicken breast and dice up your onion and celery add to the pot
  • Step 3
    Put all remaining ingredients in to the pot including spices and soy sauce
  • Step 4
    turn your heat up to high stir on occasion once broth is boiling your gonna turn heat to a low let simmer till all veggies are tender and cooked through
