this is a family favorite that has been passed down to my 1 1/2 Year old granddaughter my daughter said olyla will eat anything if i add it to cheese onion pie so we have got her to eat lots of greens by putting it in!

Ingredients
- 1 large onion
- 1 tablespoon butter, cold
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 cups cheese / i use sharp and italian blend
- 2 - eggs
- 2/3 cup milk, scalded
- dash oregano, dried
- dash paprika
- dash little salt and pepper
- 1 - pie pastry, prepared
How To Make cheese onion pie

Step 1simmer onion in butter for 15 min tell clear. add flour to thicken. Spread in unbaked pie shell.

Step 2add 2 cups cheese recipe calls for med chedder but ( i love sharp) sprinkle that over the onions

Step 3scaled milk. take 2 eggs beaten slowly add warm milk then poor over cheese and onions sprinkle heavily with dried oregano and paprika so it looks pretty and dash of pepper and salt

Step 4you can add cooked vegetables or meat on top of onions then add cheese and continue

Step 5bake at 400 for 10 min then turn down oven to 325 and bake for 25 min serve with salad and leftovers heat up wonderfully in microwave but watch out it's hot!!!
