cheese onion pie

1 Tbspbutter, cold
2 ccheese / i use sharp and italian blend
2/3 cmilk, scalded
dash(es)little salt and pepper
1pie pastry, prepared
How to Make cheese onion pie
- simmer onion in butter for 15 min tell clear. add flour to thicken. Spread in unbaked pie shell.
- add 2 cups cheese recipe calls for med chedder but ( i love sharp) sprinkle that over the onions
- scaled milk. take 2 eggs beaten slowly add warm milk then poor over cheese and onions sprinkle heavily with dried oregano and paprika so it looks pretty and dash of pepper and salt
- you can add cooked vegetables or meat on top of onions then add cheese and continue
- bake at 400 for 10 min then turn down oven to 325 and bake for 25 min serve with salad and leftovers heat up wonderfully in microwave but watch out it's hot!!!
