Ingredients

  • 5 - eggs, beat without seperating
  • 1 cup swiss cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter, cut into bits

How To Make cheese fondue

  • Step 1
    Beat eggs without separating, when light add cheese, salt, white pepper and butter.
  • Step 2
    Cook over a double boiler until cheese has melted and the mixture is smooth and as thick as a custard.
  • Step 3
    Serve this poured over hot buttered toast; serve at once.
