Ingredients

  • 5
    eggs, beat without seperating
  • 1 c
    swiss cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    white pepper
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, cut into bits

How to Make Cheese Fondue

Step-by-Step

  1. Beat eggs without separating, when light add cheese, salt, white pepper and butter.
  2. Cook over a double boiler until cheese has melted and the mixture is smooth and as thick as a custard.
  3. Serve this poured over hot buttered toast; serve at once.
