eggs, beat without seperating
1 c
swiss cheese, grated
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
white pepper
3 Tbsp
butter, cut into bits

Step-by-Step

  • 1Beat eggs without separating, when light add cheese, salt, white pepper and butter.
  • 2Cook over a double boiler until cheese has melted and the mixture is smooth and as thick as a custard.
  • 3Serve this poured over hot buttered toast; serve at once.
