carmen's chili

Over the years I've robbed from one recipe and deleted from another. I think this one is pretty good. Be aware that I don't care for kidney or pinto beans...so I use what I like! My brother drives to my house when he hears that I've made this dish!

- 2 lbs - ground meat, i use half beef half hot sausage
- 2 large onions, diced
- 1 large green pepper
- 5-6 - jalapeno peppers, dice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
- 2 large cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 can black beans
- 1 can great northern beans (cannelini)
- 1 large baked beans (optional)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, molasses, cocoa, minced garlic, cayenne pepper (each)
- 2 teaspoons chili powder, cajun spice, celery salt, cumin, celtic sea salt

Step 1Saute onions and peppers in EVOO, add meat and brown, add all of the remaining ingredients and simmer for 2-3 hours.
