I adapted this recipe when I couldn't think of any other way to prepare kielbasa than to grill it. It's sweet, a little tangy and so yummy!

link (1 pound) polish sausage or kielbasa
1/2 can(s)
lemon lime soda or ginger ale
1/3 c
worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp
lemon juice
1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
2 dash(es)
hot sauce

How to Make Candied Kielbasa

  • 1Cut the sausage into 1 inch chunks. In a large skillet, heat the soda until boiling. Boil the sausage in the soda until it reduces and becomes a light brown, thick glaze on the meat - about 10 minutes.
  • 2Meanwhile, in a small crockpot, mix together worcertershire sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar and hot sauce.
  • 3When the meat has browned slightly and is coated with the soda glaze, transfer to crockpot. Cook on high for 2 hours, or low for 4 hours.
