My mom clipped this recipe out of the local newspaper 20+ years ago. I love cabbage rolls but this is a quicker, easier version if you dont have time to make the rolls

Ingredients
- 1 - cabbage, one small head
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, turkey or pork
- - garlic
- 1 - onion, small, diced
- 1/3 cup rice, uncooked
- 1 pound sauerkraut, canned
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups water
How To Make cabbage roll casserole

Step 1Chop cabbage into bite size pieces and place in the bottom of 13x9 casserole.

Step 2Brown meat, drain and add salt, pepper, garlic, and onion. Sprinkle in uncooked rice. Place meat mixture over cabbage and cover with the sauerkraut, tomato sauce, and water.

Step 3Bake uncovered at 350 for 20 minutes. Cover & continue baking for another hour or until rice is tender.
