This is great with any kind of pasta. Flat egg noodles, elbow macaroni -- I've even used rice and orzo! Or no pasta at all!

I've added apple slices in with the onion and cooked them down a little, just before adding the cabbage.

I was given this recipe by a co-worker and it has become a family favorite!

How to Make Cabbage and Noodles

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large fry pan, fry up the bacon until barely cooked, add onion; cook until the onion is browned a bit. Add some cabbage on top of the mixture and stir in until cooked down and add remaining cabbage and continue cooking the cabbage down. When the cabbage is wilted down; fold in pasta. Season with black pepper. Serve with Tabasco sauce.
