My mom used to put this on to cook in the Pressure Cooker when she was in a hurry in the cold season. It is still a comfort food for me.
I think this is probably a lazy take-off of Corn Beef and Cabbage dinners.

Ingredients

  • 6 medium
    washed, quartered potatoes
  • 6 medium
    hot dogs (may be cut in 1/2
  • 2 pkg
    cut green beans
  • 1 small
    cabbage, cut coarsely (optional)
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste

How to Make Boiled Dinner

Step-by-Step

  1. Place washed quartered potatoes in large pot, cover slightly with water. Bring potatoes to a boil, let cook until potatoes are almost done.
  2. Add canned or frozen string beans and hot dogs. Heat through.
  3. Serve in bowls. There should be a little liquid to pour over the meal to keep hot.
