    1 bottom half round sandwich bun

    1 round sandwich bun, split

    3 round slices cheese

    2 leaves romaine lettuce

    1 black olive 2 peas
  • ·
    parsley sprigs, optional

How to Make Birdwich


  1. Layer mayonnaise and 2 slices deli meat on 1 bottom bun. Top with second bottom bun, mayonnaise, remaining slice deli meat and 1 slice cheese. Cut circle out of front end of top bun angling towards center of bun with round cutter. Spread mayonnaise on cut side of top bun and place on top of cheese. for wings, insert 2 lettuce leaves between cheese and top bun on opposite sides of back of sandwich. For beak, but 1 slice cheese in half. Loosely roll 1 half; roll other half slightly tighter and insert into looser half. Insert beak into hole in but, cut sides in. For eyes, cut olive in half crosswise. Attach to bun above beak with dabs of mayonnaise. Insert peas into holes in olives. For feet, cut 2 triangles out of remaining slice cheese. Cut 2 small V shapes out of short side of each triangle. Slide feet under sandwich, cut sides out. Decorate sandwich with parsley sprigs for garnish.
