    raspberry preserves

    confectioners' sugar

How to Make Benni-Holly Cristo's


  1. Assemble your sandwich in the manner that you would like, so that it resembles a triple decker sandwich. <I only used one slice of each meat and cheese> One layer turkey and swiss, another layer ham and american <whatever you like> Add one toothpick to each corner of sandwich and sit to the side.
  2. In a bowl, add 1 egg (mix well), water, all purpose flour, salt and sugar. Mix well again. Add your sandwich in the mix and make sure it is completely coated from top to bottom (including the sides)
  3. Place the sandwich carefully in a hot pan of oil (or deep fryer) and cook on each side until golden brown. After it is cooked, remove from oil and drain on a paper towel. Remove toothpicks carefully, slice in half, sprinkle powdered sugar on top and put a spoonful of raspberry preserves on the side and ENJOY!!!
