This recipe came from a famous New Orleans restaurant. BBQ Shrimp are not typical BBQ on the grill...... don't kow why it's called BBQ but I know it's great. It took me a while to talk the chef out of the recipe!

  • 2 lb
    large shrimp, unpeeled
  • 1 stick
  • 6 clove
    garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tsp
    fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • ·
    salt,pepper and louisiana red hot sauce to taste.
  • ·
    fresh whole parsley leaves to garnish

How to Make Cajun BBQ Shrimp


  1. Mix all inhgredients except fresh parsley leaves in a large casserole dish.
  2. Bake in a 400 degree oven, stirring occasionally, unti shrimp turn pink. Remove immediately, garish with parsley and serve hot. A loaf of French bread goes very well with it to sop up the gravy!
