Ingredients
- 4 - lamb shanks
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 - onions, sliced
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- dash cayenne
How To Make barbecued lamb shanks

Step 1Brown the shanks in oil in a heavy pot or dutch oven. Pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours, spooning some of the sauce over the meat several times during the cooking. If desired, shanks can be baked, covered, in the oven (350) for about 2 hours.
