1 pkghot dogs, sliced into rounds
1 can(s)tomato soup or manwich sloppy joe sauce
1 smallonion, finely chopped
1 smallgreen pepper, seeded and chopped
1 Tbspchili powder..more or less to taste
3 chot cooked rice
How to Make Barbecued Hot Dogs over Rice
- In large skillet heat oil. Add onions and peppers and saute until softened. Add sliced hotdogs, sprinkle with approx 1/2 the chili powder and saute until lightly browned. You can just cook them until heated through, it is your preference. Add tomato soup or Manwich and chili powder. Simmer until all ingredients are heated through. My sister's original recipe called for the tomato soup. I just recently tried with with the Manwich and it is also good. Again it is a flavor preference.
- Serve over hot cooked rice or noodles, or mashed potatoes. Like I said the possibilities are endless.
