all american grand slam chili dog

This is a way to spice up hot dog night !! I got inspiration from a hamburger at a local sports bar that they call a hangover burger with bacon , onions and an egg over easy. I made it into a chili dog with a little twist instead. This has lots of layers of goodness. I thought about using french fries instead of hash browns but I had a bag of hash browns on hand so feel free to get creative. We loved this and hope you do too.

Ingredients

  • 1 - cooked hot dog of your choice
  • 1 can hot dog chili without beans(i like wolf brand)
  • - mustard to taste
  • 1 - hot dog bun
  • 1 bag frozen hashbrown(cooked with a little oil)
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 slices cooked bacon per hotdog
  • 1 tablespoon shredded cheese of your choice
  • 1 - egg cooked over easy per hot dog
  • dash tabasco (or hot sauce of your choice)
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make all american grand slam chili dog

  • Step 1
    Cook hot dogs to your liking ..grill, boil or steam. I boiled these
  • Step 2
    Heat hot dog Chili
  • Step 3
    Cook Hashbrowns in a little oil
  • Step 4
    Saute' onions
  • Step 5
    Cook an egg over easy...salt and pepper to taste
  • Step 6
    Cook bacon ( precooked bacon heated up in the microwave is super easy)
  • Step 7
    Place hot dog in a bun with a little mustard to taste
  • Step 8
    Top this with a little chili
  • Step 9
    Then top this with a little bit a prepared hasbrowns
  • Step 10
    Top the hasbrowns with a little cheese
  • Step 11
    Then top with a little more chili and then prepared onion
  • Step 12
    Top with two pieces of cooked bacon
  • Step 13
    Top this with prepared egg and a few dashes of Tabasco
  • Step 14
    Enjoy!!
