My family like to susbtitue the cheese and tortilla chips for crisp quesaodillas to dip into the soup.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 package ranch style dressing mix
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can black beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 can tomatoes and chiles
  • 1/2 cup frozen corn
  • 2 cups shredded mexi cheese
  • - tortilla chips
  • - sour cream

How To Make taco soup

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef. Drain and add to 5 quart pot.
  • Step 2
    Add water and stir in taco seasoning and ranch dressing mix.
  • Step 3
    Add all other ingredients.
  • Step 4
    Bring to just a boil and reduce heat to simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Serve in bowls. Garnish with cheese, tortilla chips and sour cream.
