This is great on its own! My daughter and I love it with fried eggs. We also eat it with beans and burritos.

How to Make Spicy Spanish Rice

  1. Pop Pablano peppers in to oven and roast high for half an hour (until skin blisters). Place in a plastic bag to sweat off the skin. Put aside.
  2. Brown sausage and put aside. For more flavor taco seasoning can be added.
  3. In large pot, fry uncooked rice to a light brown. Add Water, Garlic Salt, Onion powder, diced onion, drained sausage, and diced tomatoes. Bring to boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. After rice finishes, add Cheese, sour cream, and strips of Pablanos. Add any options at this time. Fold all together, don't mix with too much vigor to protect the texture.
