Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound long grain enriched rice
  • 1-8oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 small chopped jalapano
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 medium chopped tomato
  • 2 packages sozan,goya - con azafran
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 large heaping tablespoons shortning
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt

How To Make my mexican rice

  • Step 1
    in a lg skillet heat shortning, add rice till slightly brown , add choppped onion,jalapano add, all seasonings cook for 3 mins than add chopped tomato, tomato sauce add water cover simmer on very low heat 30 to 40 mins do not stir or peak
