Before my husband and I were married we lived in a little one bedroom apartment downtown on public aid. We didn't have much and tried this on a whim. Now it's a hit with the entire family, even the kids love it.

Ingredients

  • 1 package tortilla chips any kind
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • 3 large avacados
  • 2 jars queso dip
  • 5 large jalepenos
  • 2 cans large black pitted olives
  • 1 can diced green chiles
  • 1 can green can el pato sauce

How To Make mimi's grande nachos

  • Step 1
    brown the Ground Turkey in a large skillet, drain any excess liquid then add the El Pato sauce and Green Chiles. Simmer for 5-10 minutes. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Chop the tomoatoes and drain the juices. Chop Olives & Avacado then mix with the Tomato in a medium to large bowl. Slice the Jalepenos and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Lay entire bag of Tortilla Chips across a cookie sheet(the bigger the better) and top with Ground Turkey mixture. Then Pour the vegetable mixture over the Ground Turkey.
  • Step 4
    Top the entire dish with Queso Dip and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the entire dish is warm throughout. After done baking top with sliced Jalepeno and serve.
